Apple iOS 15 arrived as a seemingly trouble-free launch but as millions of iPhone owners begin to upgrade, serious problems are now being found in almost all parts of the release.

AppleMORE FROM FORBESApple iOS 15 Has 25 Great Secret FeaturesBy Gordon Kelly
Spotted by AppleInsider, iPhone 13 owners are particularly badly affected, reporting a multitude of problems including camera bugs, failure to wake, unresponsive screens, problems with core apps and borked accessories. But this is just the tip of the iceberg as now iPhone of all ages are being dragged into this dumpster fire.
The breadth of problems being experienced is eye-opening and it should act as a stark warning both to iOS 15 upgraders and potential iPhone 13 owners who may want to delay making a purchase until Apple irons these out. And that could take time, with problems being found in almost every area.
Serious problems are arising with:
- Apple Pay unavailable
- iPhone 13 camera problems and cameras on older models as well
- CarPlay is significantly impacted for many
- Touchscreen issues have been introduced
- iMessage is broken or glitching
- Apple Music has playback and storage problems
- Notes data is being lost
- There are a growing number of reports about overheating
- Apple Podcasts queues are broken
- Storage management has a widespread reporting error
- General issues with iOS 15 stability
- Confusing false upgrade alerts
- Widget bugs
And some users are getting many of them all at once
The breadth of flaws and bugs here has not been seen since iOS 13’s famously rocky launch and is surprising given initial reports were of a relatively stable release. But as ever more users upgraded, ever more problems have been uncovered.
If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 15 yet, I would hold fire. Apple is now under significant pressure to push a dedicated bug fix and while iOS 15.1 is already in testing, I would not be surprised to see several smaller ‘minor point’ [iOS 15.0.1 / 15.0.2] releases to begin making inroads into these problems. Potential iPhone 13 upgraders would also be wise to wait, particularly given exciting new Apple hardware leaks.
For those who still choose to upgrade, you have been warned.
