Texture/Feel This Neutrogena Facial Moisturizer is as basic as they come – almost like the consistency of sunscreen. It is white and oil free, but it looks pretty shiny at first when it is applied.
I actually like the thickness of this moisturizer. It felt hydrating without being too heavy.
Application Applying Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture is really easy. The pump applicator worked really well every time.
I needed about one pump of lotion to cover my face and neck morning and night.
It’s not messy at all and stores well just sitting on the counter top in the bathroom.
Drying Time Drying time for this lotion was a little longer – about 5 to 10 minutes before it completely soaked in.
At first, it made my skin look really shiny, which is weird because it is oil free. After a few minutes, it soaked in more and looked more like a waxy matte finish.
It actually went pretty well under my makeup in the morning, which was great. But I had to wait a while before I applied my foundation, so it definitely made my morning routine longer.

Immediate Results Just after use, I thought my skin felt slightly more hydrated. It also left a little bit of a matte finish, which was nice in the mornings.

Longer Term Results This moisturizer really let me down over time. After a couple of days, I developed some whiteheads on my cheeks and forehead.
My skin didn’t really feel any more hydrated than when I started. I also didn’t notice any improvement in the fine lines that I worry about.
I was really disappointed in the results and I couldn’t wait to stop using it every day.
