Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder is definitely worth a haul if you use setting powder often and don’t mind the talc-based formula. It’s soft, silky, easy to blend, and easy to wear for all skin types.

As much as there's been a bit of a peach overdrive at Too Faced HQ, the two products I got from the original range really were amazing [I reviewed them here]. It took a long time for the Peaches and Cream collection to make it to UK shores, however it's finally here and there was one product I'd had my eye on: the | £20...

I'm forever on a quest for the perfect face powder; whilst I have compacts from MAC and Bourjois that I really like, they aren't quite enough to really lock in my under-eye concealer. I'm always slightly wary of 'translucent' loose powders all over my face in case they give me flashback or a white cast and highlighting banana powders can often look too much if used anywhere besides the under eyes. I did pick up the skin-toned one from Glossier but the shade wasn't quite right. It's just been a bit of a faff using one product under the eyes and another everywhere else. In steps Peach Perfect!

First things first; let's talk about the packaging. It's so pretty and feels incredibly luxurious - I was also impressed with the size. It contains a whopping 35g of product [compare that to Glossier's 7.2g at £18 and Hourglass's 10.5g for £36] so I don't think I'll be running out any time soon. It doesn't contain a sponge or anything like that, which I don't mind because I find them kind of gross! It has a little plastic shield under the fancy lid that you can pop open and closed to stop the product shaking out, even if you're travelling with it. It does have a very mild peaches and cream scent - you have to sniff the pot to really get it so it's nothing noticeable when applying it or once on your face, however I thought I'd mention it for those who have sensitive skin.

The formula itself is probably the most finely-milled powder I've ever used - it's almost like dust! When I say it's traceless on the skin, I mean I think it's impossible to apply too much or be heavy-handed with this and look caky. At the same time it instantly mattes the skin down, removing any shine. It locks in my concealer and prevents it creasing without looking at all dry or heavy.

The colour is perfect for me - it's nothing too brightening and it isn't white, making it a nice neutral tone on my skin. I can't say with certainty that it will work for every skin tone [although it's incredibly fine and not white in colour] but on Sephora's website a lot of people have posted photos of themselves wearing it for their reviews and there's a really wide spectrum in there. If you've tried this powder and have a much fairer or deeper skin tone to me then please leave your thoughts in the comments!

Overall, I think I might have found the One. Bold claim, I know! I really hope this product is permanent [although knowing my luck, I bet it won't be...] because it's matte, traceless, leaves no cast and locks everything in place all day long. That's pretty much everything I want from a face powder!

Is Too Faced Peach Perfect being discontinued?

Unfortunately they are discontinuing the foundation. Any recommendations for a similar foundation? I like that it covers my red but looks natural. It doesn't get shiny throughout the day & doesn't transfer.
