Chanel Chance Eau de Parfum & Eau de Toilette
In my view, the original Chanel Chance Eau de Parfum is the longest lasting perfume in the range. It’s a classy musky patchouli jasmine which can become your signature scent. I’ve known a few people who wore this every day, and they definitely did always have this scent around them. It’s quite a simple and clean scent, appropriate for work and professional environments. I wouldn’t say it was a night time fragrance.
Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette is a lighter interpretation of the original. Broadly similar, it has some pineapple and lemon notes which come through, making it fresher.
Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche
Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche was the first flanker to be released for Chanel Chance. It’s one for people who really like cedar fragrance notes; it feels like walking through a cedar forest surrounded by the fresh green scent of nature.
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
In 2010 Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette was released. With pink branding, this is the most girly in the range with a fresh fruity and slightly sweet feel to it. The main notes at first are quince and grapefruit, in time some floral notes come in including hyacinth and the jasmine of the original.
Personally I prefer the 2019 Chanel Chance Eau Tende Eau de Parfum. Not only is this stronger and better for lasting, but the hyacinth has been replaced by rose, which has more body and makes this just a bit more interesting than the original Eau de Toilette.
Chanel Chance Eau Vive
Chanel Chance Eau Vive, released in 2015, is a burst of fresh citrus blood orange and grapefruit. Perfect for humid weather, it’s a very refreshing day scent. There is also the jasmine of the original in Chanel Chance, and the vetiver green note from Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. Again, this is an Eau De Toilette so don’t expect it to last all day.

With fresh fruity notes fused with flowers and exotic spice, the best Chanel Chance perfumes are carefree and utterly feminine. Every scent in the Chance collection is presented in a youthful circular bottle, each with its own vibrant colour. The first fragrance in the Chance collection,
Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette, was created by French perfumer Jacques Polge and released in 2003. Several striking flankers soon followed, each blessed with a touch of Chanel magic.
Here are 6 stunning Chanel Chance perfumes for women to keep you feeling elegant, refined and, of course, summer fresh.
1. Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette
Review
Chanel Chance Eau de Toilette is a carefree chypre floral fragrance that blends fruits and flowers with musky/woody notes. Launched in 2003, it’s fresh and oh-so feminine.
The opening of this fragrance is bright and zesty, with grapefruit and pineapple dusted with pink pepper for added spice. Sweet jasmine is the most dominant flower in the heart, supported discreetly by hyacinth.
Dry-down introduces earthy patchouli, vetiver and musk. Settles to a light musky/earthy patchouli led fruity/floral fragrance that’s fresh and easy to wear. Consider the EDP version if you need a little more depth.
Ideal for spring/summer and fall, you can expect 5+ hours of wear with good projection and sillage. Very good for an EDT.

2. Chanel Chance Eau de Parfum
Review
Chanel Chance Eau de Parfum takes the Chance collection to a deeper level. This 2005 fragrance is more intense than the brighter EDT version.
The opening is peppery with a subtle hint of citrus. Sweet jasmine in the heart blooms beautifully and is joined by elegant touches of powdery iris.
Patchouli soon becomes the star of the show, bringing a musky/earthy vibe that works so well with the pepper and sweet jasmine. Hints of vanilla also delight. Similar to Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria Eau de Parfum.
This more grown-up version of Chance remains perfect for spring/summer and fall. Lasts 6+ hours with decent sillage and projection.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche Eau de Toilette is a dazzling chypre floral fragrance. It fuses citrus, flowers and sensual woody notes into one well-blended feminine scent.
Fresh, almost sparkling citrus notes are first to delight, leading to a floral heart of jasmine and hyacinth dusted in pink pepper.
Woody notes and musky patchouli in the base rise to the surface after an hour or so, yet this fragrance remains fresh, feminine and invigorating.
Chance Eau Fraiche Eau de Toilette is perfect for spring and summer wear, think garden parties, shopping trips and al-fresco lunches. Lasts 4+ hours with moderate sillage and projection.

Review
Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette was launched in 2010. It is a playful fruity floral fragrance from perfumer Jacques Polge that is sweet, feminine and utterly luxurious.
The opening is zesty, with grapefruit and quince adding a summertime vibe from the start. A well-rounded heart of powdery/green hyacinth mingles with sweet jasmine is elegant and classy.
The dry-down is light musky, powdery and expensive smelling and settles to an enticing zesty/powdery floral fragrance that’s masterfully blended. I found this very similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette.
Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Toilette is a delight to wear and perfect for spring and summer daytime wear. You can expect 4+ hours of performance with noticeable sillage and projection.

5. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum
Review
Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum is a sublime fruity floral fragrance that’s girly, whimsical, and oh-so-delicate. Olivier Polge is the perfumer behind this 2019 fragrance.
This fragrance opens quite flowery, with sweet jasmine and delicate rose competing for your attention. Zesty fruits soon follow in the guise of grapefruit and quince, injecting summer freshness.
Upon dry-down, a musky base introduces Channel’s hallmark feel of elegance. The scent settles to a citrusy/rose fragrance with exotic, musky undertones. Also consider Maison Francis Kurkdjian À La Rose Eau de Parfum.

6. Chanel Chance Eau Vive Eau de Toilette
Review
Launched in 2015, Chanel Chance Eau Vive Eau de Toilette is a cheerful and carefree zesty citrus fragrance that will leave you feeling shower-fresh.
A fanfare of citrus from blood orange and grapefruit greets you from the opening. The floral heart of this fragrance is very light and supported by musk.
A light powdery/woody base hovers in the background, but this fragrance remains citrusy with slightly floral soapy edges. Consider Lacoste Touch of Pink Eau de Toilette for something similar but with a splash of vanilla.
Chance Eau Vive Eau de Toilette is an uplifting spring/summer scent that’s ideal for wearing when you fancy a break from heavy floral fragrances. I found it lasts 4+ hours with good sillage and projection.
