For the release date, according to Honda, the fully gas-powered 2023 Honda CR-V crossover SUV will start arriving at dealerships on September 22, 2022. For the 2023 CR-V Hybrid, the release will be in October 2022. Both the 2023 CR-V and 2023 CR-V Hybrid will be available to buy at Honda dealerships throughout the United States and in various international markets.

Trims offered for the 2023 CR-V include EX, EX-L, Sport, and Sport Touring. The EX and EX-L trims are for the gas-powered CR-V, while the Sport and Sport Touring trims are for the CR-V Hybrid. 

The Honda CR-V for the U.S. market is built at the Honda East Liberty Plant in East Liberty, Ohio, and the Honda Manufacturing of Indiana plant in Greensburg, Indiana.

Buyers of the new 2023 Honda CR-V have a choice of two engine options. The regular CR-V model comes equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The CR-V Hybrid, which combines a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors, produces 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. While the turbocharged engine received minor tweaks, the hybrid system is all-new for 2023. 

For the drive system, the CR-V offers either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. On the towing front, the gas-powered CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds, while the CR-V Hybrid has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 pounds. For efficiency, the fully gas-powered CR-V gets an estimated fuel economy of up to 28 city/34 highway mpg, while the CR-V Hybrid gets a gas mileage of up to 43 city/36 highway mpg.

The 2023 Honda CR-V crossover SUV has an all-new design. Compared to the fifth-generation 2022 CR-V, the sixth-generation 2023 CR-V has more rugged and sophisticated exterior styling. Plus, the interior of the CR-V has a more modern look.
