Hi,
Do you mean you cannot log on after you connect to target PC? If it does, I would like to know whether you are use a local account or domain account in the target PC. Have you changed your password recently?

Secondly, if you are signing onto a machine local account, try to use the machine name and a backslash before the username. If you are using a domain account, try to add domain name before username. Then check the issue.
For another possibility, you havent added the user to the remote desktop users group. In the host PC, just right click This PC > Manage > Groups > Remote Desktop Users > Add.
If it still doesnt work, you would better to change the account password for test due to we have found an issue which similar to yours and it has been solved by changing password.
