How to find video info, for now-deleted videos?
0
Hi there,

I'm wondering how I can find video info [such as video title, upload user, etc], for YouTube videos, that have now been deleted?

The problem I've got is, I have videos saved in playlists from many years ago, yet a surprisingly large amount of those videos have now since been deleted.

When I click through to these videos [from the playlist], many of these videos are a blank page, with just a disclaimer in the video box, saying "this video has been [deleted/blocked/etc]", and contains no identifiable info.
Like the photo below [picture 1];
The problem is, this means I have no way of finding out what this video was? [which is what I'm looking to do].

Of course, I still have the URL to these videos, and they still have a physical page on YouTube's site, so I'm wondering if there's any way I can find more info about these said videos?

Though other videos, despite being deleted, still contain the video title, uploader, views, likes ratio, etc.
Such as this one; [picture 2]

Here's the URLs in particular, that I want to find more info on;

//www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1wjL4BqXlI
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2IPU05tZ2k
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTWdiaS3uq4
//www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_2KXwh5Cdc

"You can try doing a web search with the URL, but Frankly, I haven't had much success with that."

In my experience, Bing is the best search engine for finding info on deleted videos for example:
bing.com/search?q=youtu.be/t1wjL4BqXlI
1st result shows title of video: "Awolnation "Sail" Unlimited Gravity Remix"

Somehow I get the feeling Youtube does not want us to know the name of deleted videos. Keeping the video title on the url would have been a trivial feature.

If you have the URL of the videos, you can visit the website archive.org and click, on the top left corner, on the "web" option. That will open the "Wayback Machine" search engine for you, and you can then copy the URL there and hit enter. The website will give you previous saved versions of that link, then you can click in a possible date from your choice and enjoy the old version of that page, which will still have the video if the date you chose was before the date of removal.

If you have the URL from a playlist, the archive engine won't recognize it. In that case, notice that your URL will be something like "//www.youtube.com/watch--various_things--&list=--more_things-". Just remove everything which comes after the "&list", including it. You will then have a link like "//www.youtube.com/watch--various_things--", which will work. :]

TL;DR: Open archive.org, click on the "web" option and past your URL there. Enjoy.

BING is the best option to retrieve the title of any deleted or private video!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this suggestion. I've always tried Google and have had luck about 50-60% with the newer videos but BING is PERFECT!!!

@Nicora Bodgam Bing the best option to search the video title compared to google? I'm not sure about that. You can use the ''verbatim'' option in google search tools below the search bar and it will make google search exactly what is written in your search word by word. I'll definitely will give a try to Bing in my next searchs regardless and see how it performs compared to google with verbatim option
