Why is God of War 1 so good?

God of War received critical acclaim, being highly praised for its graphics, sound, story, and gameplay and has been cited as one of the greatest video games ever made. Regarded as one of the best action-adventure games for the platform, God of War won several "Game of the Year" awards.

What is the rating for God of War 1?

One word of warning: this game is rated M and it richly deserves it. There is a lot of violence, blood and gore, and some nudity throughout the game. This isn't a game for kids or the squeamish.

How good is the original God of War?

Kratos and Atreus have a gripping story, the combat is amazing, and the world is interesting to explore. Sure, the combat at times feels a bit chaotic, and the menus could have been better designed, but it doesn't stop this being one of my favourite games of all time. Thanks so much for reading my review of God of War.

Should I start with God of War 1?

Which God of War Game Should You Play First? Although technically the first game in the series chronologically was God of War: Ascension, realistically you'll probably want to start with God of War [2018]. Not only is it available on both PS4 and PS5, you can also play it on PC.
