Let me preface by saying I don’t know much about cars. I only know that I’ve had horrible luck with them. I’ve done a lot of work and maintenance on my Ford Escape 2005. The first time it was overheating, was because the fans were broken. After I got them replaced, the car ran good until it got a leak somewhere in the reservoir/tubes to the radiator. For months I had to keep dumping coolant/water into the reservoir EVERY SINGLE TIME I needed to get to work or even just go down a few blocks cause it would start leaking badly after just a few minutes of putting it in

I tried for weeks to find the leak but could never find it. I was skeptical that the Cooling System Repair [1150] was going to work, but I tried it at the recommendation of a friend. I am happy to say that it definitely works. In my case my car is still overheating but at least a lot less faster, and I haven’t had to add any coolant or water for a week now. Does bars leak really work?

Cost a couple hundred dollars to replace, but the oil leak is gone. That said, getting 1 year of driving out of a bottle of this stuff still leaves me very impressed. I'd use Bar's Leaks more as a way to get you to a spot where you can get your car fixed instead of an end-all solution personally.

Will stop leak damage my engine?

An inexpensive $25 product can wreak havoc on your vehicle and even lead to catastrophic internal engine failure. It may stop the leak, but it will also get into all of your vehicle's motor cooling passages.

Does bars rear main seal stop leak work?

After a week, the leak was barely noticable, just the bottom of the transmission housing felt a little oily, but no puddle/stains in the driveway. After 2-3 weeks, the leak was gone. And I mean gone, not a drop. I was impressed how well this worked on this problem and thought it fixed it permanently.

Is bars oil stop leak bad for your engine?

Certainly it has the potential to hurt your engine. If you have a blown head gasket, the Stop Leak can seep into, and clog, the lubrication passages. If the Stop Leak is sticky enough to plug a leak, it's sticky enough to coat the heat-transfer surfaces of your radiator.
