There are many different listening styles in interpersonal communication that has
affected the way we communicate forever. Listening styles such as relational listening,
critical listening, analytical listening, and task-oriented listening have impacted us
greatly to name a few. Interpersonal communication is
the process of receiving and
responding to others' messages and these different listening types will illustrate just how
in depth and complex that can be.
Relational listening affects us today in many ways. Relational listening is
most
concerned with building emotional closeness with others.
This listening type takes on a
process in the internal psychological and the exterior technological functions in our
brain. Relational listening provides a systemic framework through which artists and
other concerned practitioners can explore the conditions of their listening, specifically in
the context of the desire to transmit those listenings. Relational listening, through
