When can I order a 2023 Bronco Outer Banks?

Today Ford released the 2023 Bronco Sport Order Guide to dealers.

Nothing too exciting... but highlights below:

  • NEW— Black Diamond Off-road Package
    • Unlike the full-sized Bronco, this is not a separate trim. It is an off-road add-on package available the Base, Big Bend, and Outer Banks trims.
    • Contains:
      • Underbody protection
      • Upgraded 225/65R17 All-Terrain Tires with unique 17" wheels [aluminum painted wheels that look like steelies]
      • Black Diamond Graphics package
  • Color Changes
    • NEW
      • Eruption Green
      • Atlas Blue Metallic
    • Deleted
      • Bronze Smoke Metallic
      • Velocity Blue Metallic

Perhaps most noteworthy... no mention of a Heritage edition.

Order Guide and a screenshot of the unique Black Diamond wheel is attached. Order banks are currently due to open August 5th [tomorrow], but may have opened today—check with your dealer!

EDIT— Order Guide is now located here:

If anyone finds pictures of the Black Diamond graphics package on the internet, feel free to post it. Super curious what it looks like.

Nothing posted Ford's media site yet—I suspect the media team is waiting for Woodward Dream Cruise to release all of the details.

      • Sounds like Ford is making the Base, Big Bend & Outer Banks more like the Badlands, except that they'll still have the 1.5 and not the 2.0

It’s also notable that the deleted and added colors match up with the graphic from Ford that somebody posted a couple of weeks ago. i’m taking this as a bad omen for those of us who ordered cyber orange metallic way back in 2021.

Yeah that graphic came from the internal Ford dealer website. Obviously everything is subject to change and we won't really know until the order guides are released. Sometimes these website screenshots have pre-released data in them and nothing has been finalized yet.

BUT... @Garemlin has been following the 2023 Ranger [ordering started this week] and noticed that Cyber Orange and Area 51 are unavailable on the 2023 Ranger. Considering the Ranger and Bronco are assembled in the same assembly plant, not a good sign. Unfortunately, the Ranger information combined with the website leak probably means those who ordered Cyber Orange [or Area 51] on their full-sized Bronco and haven't gotten scheduled it yet should probably get comfortable with the idea of not getting the colors they original ordered.

For the Bronco Sport, I actually really liked the Bronze Smoke color. I've been considering trading in my Ford Escape for a Bronco Sport, so disappointed to see that color go. But I know Eruption Green has been extremely popular on the full-sized Bronco, so probably a smart move by Ford.

Our son ordered a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands in eruption green yesterday. It will be his first new vehicle. He had order #2 at our dealer. Hoping he gets it soon.

Fairly confident there is a typo in the order guide. The summary says the Black Diamond Off-Road package is available on the Base trim, but yet in the Base section on the order guide it is not listed as an available option.

Would be kind of a bummer if it actually isn't available on Base.

How cool! I can't help but get excited about seeing the new colors. I think Ford came up with a nice overall selection pattern here.

We went with the Cactus Gray on our Sport Outer Banks

We went with the Cactus Gray on our Sport Outer Banks

I like Cactus Gray, but it’s too common of color for me. I see them by far and away the most often. According to the survey thread, Cactus Gray was the most ordered color other than Eruption Green.

What is the wait time on ordering a new Bronco?

4-6 Months if you get a soft top, auto, 4 door, 2.3 and no front locker. Otherwise to the back of the line with you and cross your fingers for a 2024 model.

How much will a Ford Bronco cost in 2023?

Price: We expect the price of the 2023 Ford Bronco will start around $31,000 for the base 2-door model. The 4-door base Bronco is slightly more expensive at roughly $35,000.

How long until Bronco is scheduled for production?

If your 2-door or 4-door Bronco hardtop order has not been scheduled for production yet, except for First Edition, you will be receiving a 2022 MY Bronco. More details on 2022 MY ordering will be available in the coming months. 2022 MY production is forecasted to begin in late December 2021.

How many pre orders does the Bronco have?

The New Ford Bronco Has Passed 165,000 Pre-Orders In Just Three Weeks. Reincarnations of retro off-roaders are very in, as you can probably tell by the new Land Rover Defender, the Ineos Grenadier and, well, any Jeep model.
