My problem is that I have an oily scalp and dry, thin, dull-looking, frizzy hair. When I buy shampoos for dry hair, they usually will not clean my hair enough and I will get an oily scalp again in less than 24 hours. I thought I'd give this shampoo a try and I don't regret it. It keeps my hair clean (without an overly oily scalp) for 48 hours. BUT I have to use a moisturizing conditionner on the dry ends of my hair so that my hair isn't too dry. I'm still looking for a perfectly balanced shampoo (that I could use on its own) for my hair and this isn't it. I recommend it for people for normal hair though. It seems obvious with the list of ingredients, but there was no artificial smell to it - it's like opening an actual lemon and smelling it. As for the cleaning, I love how my hair doesn't have an overpowering artificial smell afterwards, nor does my scalp have an oily feel or smell the day or two after I shampoo. That's a refreshing change from the average shampoo others might use. A tip: given that this shampoo doesn't have all the sulfates or usual ingredients, it will not create anywhere near the same amount of suds you may be use to (if you are switching to this from a typical shampoo); this is okay. As long as it makes contact with your scalp and you massage it well, it will clean fine. Give it a few washes and then see how your scalp and hair does. It has a cheerful smell to it. My husband and son like it too. If you have more oily hair, you might want to try the Andalouâs lavender shampoo, and if you have dry hair, their orange shampoo might be better for you. I have type 2 wavy hair and this does an excellent job gently but thoroughly cleansing it for the conditioner to really soak in and moisturize. It makes your hair soft, silky and not weighed down. It deep cleans in a very gentle way. My hair felt like straw no matter what I tried: diff shampoos/conditioners (high and low end), deep conditioner, leave in conditioner, hot oil. Nothing worked until I decided to try this on a whim. After 1 use my hair felt so soft and was soooo super shiny. A bit pricey on this site but you won't be disappointed.
