I just bought a hp pavilion 15-AU168TX notebook, the materials feels like it is made most out of plastic and it is made in china.My question is, is this an original hp notebook or not?? or hp really manufactured in china?

Yes Hp does manufacture some laptops in China.
What is the first 3 digits of your serial number???

That is from China but it is using a new ISO international country code.

I am still trying to find an updated list.
5CD is the code for the country and region where the item was manufactured.
5C is the country code.
D is the province/Region code for that country.
