The body style meshes the rugged and practical appeal of a crossover with the sleek lines of the Mustang, though many die-hard pony-car fans take issue with the name of this EV. With a variety of options for more range, more performance or a combination of the two, the Mach-E should be able to fit many buyers' needs. For 2022, the model gets a small bump in usable battery capacity, which improves real-world range. Ford is also promising that the vehicle will get a future update that will enable a hands-free driving feature known as BlueCruise. PerformanceThere’s a standard battery option sized at 70 kWh and an extended range battery with 91 kWh. Rear-wheel-drive models equipped with the standard battery use an electric motor outputting 266 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque and feature a maximum range of 370 km, while RWD models with the extended battery feature a slightly more powerful motor with 290 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque and a maximum range of 483 km. All-wheel-drive models with the standard battery feature the same horsepower as the rear-wheel-drive models, but with 428 lb-ft of torque, and offering 340 km of range. Extended range all-wheel-drive models feature 346 horsepower, 428 lb-ft of torque and 435 km of range. There’s also a GT model with 480 horsepower, 600 lb-ft of torque, along with 418 km of range. Suffice to say, the instant torque offered by these electric motors means that the Mustang is quick, with 0-100 km/h times ranging from 6.1 seconds to as quick as 3.5 seconds.PracticalityBehind the rear seats of the Mustang Mach-E, you’ll find 840L of cargo space. That expands to 1,690L when rear seats are folded. Additionally, there’s a front trunk with 4.7L of storage, perfect for the portable charging cable. It takes about 90 hours to recharge the battery on a 120-volt household outlet, or 10 to 14 hours using a level 2 charger. The Mach-E also supports DC Fast Charging rates up to 150 kW which will recharge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in about 45 minutes.ValueThe Mustang Mach-E starts at $52,490 including freight for the Select model with rear-wheel-drive and the standard battery. Upgrading to AWD is an extra $3,500. The Premium model costs $61,490 and includes a few extra niceties like larger wheels, an upgraded sound system, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel, while upgrading the battery costs $7,000. The California Route 1 model costs $66,490. The Mach-E GT Performance Edition comes with AWD and an extended battery, boosting the price to $84,990. These prices don’t include any tax rebates or incentives provided by the federal or provincial governments, so depending on where you live you can lower the cost of entry for this EV.What does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select RWD come with?reload the page with a new trimTell me more about itGeneral Information & Overview
