Brilliant Stars International College is the pioneer in English Medium education catering to a multi ethnic and multi cultural clientele in Matara. We were founded in 1997 starting with the Pre School section. In 2002 we opened our Primary Section and today we have over 900 students attending "Brilliant Stars" in morning and evening sessions.

We are an international school catering to both local curriculum set by the Ministry of Education Sri Lanka and the Pearson EDEXEL examinations UK leading to IGCSE. We prepare our students to live as global citizens, utilizing the fruits of labor that the BSIC has nutured with.

Brilliant Stars International College founded in 1997, with separate, infant, pre-school and primary sections is located in the heart of Matara Town and caters to a large number of students. Brilliant Stars International College has established an extremely good academic record with a local curriculum plan based syllabus set by the Ministry of Education in the English medium. We can be proud of our extra - curricular activities which include sport, swimming, drama, music, games, and information technology. Who pays for education in Slovakia?

The state financed education and all textbooks and instructional material below the university level are free (returned at the end of the semester) – in most cases at least. However, there are also private schools which are paid. Students at standard schools receive marks in almost all subjects.
