Msi rx 570 gaming x review năm 2024

A mid to low level graphics card, the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB is found in budget machines nowadays, struggling to meet AAA system requirements.

All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card.

We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2024 popular games. This short Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. Of the 1000 most demanding recommended specs found in game requirements today, this gpu is more powerful than the graphics requirement of 441 games in todays list.

With 1080p being the most common gaming resolution at the moment we explored how well the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB can run Days Gone at 1080p and saw it return reasonable frame rates at the following graphics settings - Low: 131 FPS, Medium: 103 FPS, High: 69 FPS and Ultra: 50 FPS. For performance contrast we can see that Back 4 Blood returns a playable 43 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

One of the growing popular screen resolutions for PC gaming is the wider 1440p. So we wanted to see how well the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB performed at 1440p by taking a look at some of the current popular games. First we looked at Days Gone and saw it deliver playable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 100 FPS, Medium: 79 FPS, High: 53 FPS and Ultra: 38 FPS. We then checked the performance on Back 4 Blood to see if that runs well. It was playable with a 32 FPS at Ultra 1440p. 1440p gaming on the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB is ok at playing most games but might need to have the graphics settings lowered to medium preset in some cases.

How many years will the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB? There are no graphics cards on the current market that would provide a big enough increase in performance to warrant upgrading the Radeon RX 570 MSI Gaming X 8GB.

AMD’s Radeon RX 570 is an updated version of last year's RX 470. It's based on the same 5.7 billion transistor Ellesmere GPU with an equal number of compute units, enabling an identical list of resources [2048 Stream processors and 128 texture units]. The two cards feature interchangeable back-ends with 32 ROPs and a corresponding 4GB of GDDR5 memory. Not surprisingly, AMD again targets 1920x1080 with its Polaris Redux.

Because we've run out of synonyms to show just how similar Radeon RX 570 and its predecessor really are, enthusiasts who want to know more about this card's composition are invited to check out our AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB Review. The only specs you'll find different are the core and memory clocks AMD imposes to make the RX 570 a little faster. And of course, if you see how this same GPU fares with a few more compute units turned on and twice as much GDDR5 memory, take a look at our AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB Review.

Editor's Note: While still widely sold and a reasonable buy, the RX 570 is a little long in the tooth. Check out our up-to-date list of the best graphics cards for more recent picks.

AMD doesn't have a reference-class Radeon RX 570, and it didn't make its own RX 470 either. That means we're definitely testing a partner board. Last time, we received Asus' Strix RX 470 OC for our review. As luck would have it, Asus' Strix RX 570 OC found its way to our U.S. and German labs, facilitating an excellent comparison from one generation to the next.

When the GPU is running below its limitations, it can boost to a higher clock speed in order to give increased performance.

The number of pixels that can be rendered to the screen every second.

Floating-point performance is a measurement of the raw processing power of the GPU.

The number of textured pixels that can be rendered to the screen every second.

The memory clock speed is one aspect that determines the memory bandwidth.

Shading units [or stream processors] are small processors within the graphics card that are responsible for processing different aspects of the image.

TMUs take textures and map them to the geometry of a 3D scene. More TMUs will typically mean that texture information is processed faster.

The ROPs are responsible for some of the final steps of the rendering process, writing the final pixel data to memory and carrying out other tasks such as anti-aliasing to improve the look of graphics.

Memory

The effective memory clock speed is calculated from the size and data rate of the memory. Higher clock speeds can give increased performance in games and other apps.

This is the maximum rate that data can be read from or stored into memory.

VRAM [video RAM] is the dedicated memory of a graphics card. More VRAM generally allows you to run games at higher settings, especially for things like texture resolution.

Newer versions of GDDR memory offer improvements such as higher transfer rates that give increased performance.

A wider bus width means that it can carry more data per cycle. It is an important factor of memory performance, and therefore the general performance of the graphics card.

Error-correcting code memory can detect and correct data corruption. It is used when is it essential to avoid corruption, such as scientific computing or when running a server.

Features

DirectX is used in games, with newer versions supporting better graphics.

OpenGL is used in games, with newer versions supporting better graphics.

Some apps use OpenCL to apply the power of the graphics processing unit [GPU] for non-graphical computing. Newer versions introduce more functionality and better performance.

The graphics card supports multi-display technology. This allows you to configure multiple monitors in order to create a more immersive gaming experience, such as having a wider field of view.

A lower load temperature means that the card produces less heat and its cooling system performs better.

Ray tracing is an advanced light rendering technique that provides more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections in games.

Allows you to view in 3D [if you have a 3D display and glasses].

DLSS [Deep Learning Super Sampling] is an upscaling technology powered by AI. It allows the graphics card to render games at a lower resolution and upscale them to a higher resolution with near-native visual quality and increased performance. DLSS is only available on select games.

AMD's Smart Access Memory [SAM] and Intel's Resizable BAR are two technologies that allow the CPU to have faster access to the graphics card, which can give a performance boost. It requires a compatible motherboard, graphics card, and CPU.

Ports

Devices with a HDMI or mini HDMI port can transfer high definition video and audio to a display.

More HDMI ports mean that you can simultaneously connect numerous devices, such as video game consoles and set-top boxes.

Newer versions of HDMI support higher bandwidth, which allows for higher resolutions and frame rates.

Allows you to connect to a display using DisplayPort.

With more USB-C ports, you are able to connect more devices/peripherals.

Allows you to connect to a display using DVI.

Allows you to connect to a display using mini-DisplayPort.

General info

The thermal design power [TDP] is the maximum amount of power the cooling system needs to dissipate. A lower TDP typically means that it consumes less power.

A higher transistor count generally indicates a newer, more powerful processor.

Small semiconductors provide better performance and reduced power consumption. Chipsets with a higher number of transistors, semiconductor components of electronic devices, offer more computational power. A small form factor allows more transistors to fit on a chip, therefore increasing its performance.

Peripheral Component Interconnect Express [PCIe] is a high-speed interface standard for connecting components, such as graphics cards and SSDs, to a motherboard. Newer versions can support more bandwidth and deliver better performance.

When covered under the manufacturer’s warranty it is possible to get a replacement in the case of a malfunction. Note: This may vary by region.

The graphics card uses a combination of water and air to reduce the temperature of the card. This allows it to be overclocked more, increasing performance.
