I've tried 6 Figfig, 7 Jujube, 13 Eat Dotori, and 23 Nucadamia, and I'm generally drawn to the less vibrant shades like 22 Pomelo Skin that I intend to buy next haha!

Compared to their recent dewyful water tint texture (that I reviewed in the reel right before this), juicy last tint is:

They definitely wear differently, so it's really a matter of preference!

For shade comparisons, to 12 Canyon dewyful water tint, that is more warm and brown toned, while this 23 nucadamia juicy last tint leans more purple/mauve and seems more neutral toned!

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

To achieve the perfect application with Rom&nd Juicy Lip Tint, follow these simple directions:

1. Start with clean and moisturised lips for the best results.
2. Twist open the cap and carefully glide the applicator along the contours of your lips, starting from the centre and moving towards the corners.
3. For a more subtle look, apply a thin layer of the tint and blend it out using your fingertip or a lip brush.
4. For a bolder and more intense colour payoff, apply an additional layer, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.
5. If desired, you can also create an ombre effect by applying a lighter shade to the center of your lips and blending it outwards.
6. Allow the lip tint to dry for a few seconds for a long-lasting finish.
7. After use, secure the cap tightly to prevent the product from drying out.

As much as I love trying new skincare, I’m actually not as adventurous when it comes to makeup. I stick to stuff I love and I’m quite boring as I rarely like to shake things up. I’ve been using the Peripera Ink Airy Velvet Tints since last year but it wasn’t until I reached for my lilybyred Bloody Liar Velvet Tint that a thought transpired, ‘why not try more glossy lip tints?’.

I fare pretty well when it comes to choosing skincare but my brain is easily overwhelmed when it comes to makeup. I mean there are so many different formulas, finishes, and shades that my head can spin for hours. To make it less headache inducing, I decided to just try a popular product this time, the rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint.

I naturally gravitate towards corals and pinks because I have dark lips and I actually don’t like my natural lip color. However since I already have a vast array of pinks and corals in my collection, I decided to opt for colors opposite of the usual that I’m drawn to this time. After scrolling up and down endlessly, scrutinizing colors and comparing swatches from reviews for what seemed like forever, I decided, on

figfig and

jujube.

Juicy Lasting Tint is described as a 3-in-1 product that serves as a tint, gloss and rouge. It offers longevity, along with a formula that is non-drying and boasts vivid colors. Currently available in 13 colors, Juicy Lasting Tints come with 5.5g of product and is priced at 13,000KRW. I paid a little under 8,000KRW for each. These tints are packaged in tubes that match their respective colors. Truthfully I chose the colors in advance but didn’t make the actual purchase until recently so I’ve only had these for a little under a month.

As the product name implies, these shades are fruit inspired.

I find

jujube more vivid and intense in color.

figfig applies more sheer than

jujube.

figfig is a deep red with a hint of purple. Some say it’s close to a red mauve. It’s dubbed a “never been seen before MLBB”. It is undoubtedly a gorgeous color on everyone whose pictures I came across.

figfig is cool toned.

jujube is also described as an MLBB, it’s slightly inferior in popularity to

figfig but in my personal opinion, this color is prettier. It looks more like a rose red/brown than the colors of red dates (jujube).

jujube is warm toned.

The doe foot applicator is slightly slanted so this helps application.

These go on smoothly and contrary to some of the glossy formulas I’ve tried in the past they’re not sticky. My makeup artist applied a glossy lip tint on me on my wedding day and I can still recall how sticky it was. Not only that, it sucked all the joy, life and moisture out of my poor lips. By the time the ceremony started, my lips were as dry as prunes. I shudder at the thought of it now. That’s probably one of the reasons why I’ve been avoiding glossy lip tints. It still haunts me but this formula has helped me get over it somewhat.

Juicy Lasting Tint gives that faux lip plumping effect. Applied as a full lip, your lips will look plump and dare I say, juicy? Both these colors apply with intense shine and gloss but subsides when the tint starts to settle on the lips. The gloss becomes more subtle but your lips will remain hydrated and that’s where this products scores major points for me. Unfortunately for those who dislike fragrance, all the Juicy Lasting Tints contain fragrance. They smell like fruit if that helps. Whether they taste like them will be up to you to find out because I’m not going there.

Sadly these are not transfer resistant and have terrible longevity, they don’t last long and the stains are very light once the initial coat is removed. But this largely depends on how much product you apply. Above and below I swatched two layers of the tint and even after vigorous wiping (after photographing the picture below), there was still a light stain left behind. However on a separate occasion, the colors came off on their own without the need of a lip and eye makeup remover.

Most reviews on rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tints are positive and almost everyone seems enamored with

figfig. And I’ll admit, it looked pretty in the photos but my hunch was right, it’s too dark for my liking. I also find

jujube too dark but between the two colors,

jujube looks a tad bit better on me. Here’s the thing though, the stains that these two colors leave behind look really natural on me.

Juicy Lasting Tints are decent lip tints that offer a glossy shine that is neither too sticky nor heavy on the lips. They go on smoothly and can be layered for more intensity. However, they are not transfer-resistant and leave a very light stain afterwards. What impresses me though is how these remain hydrating on my lips. My lips are as dry as a dessert and they’re that way all the time so I feel like if a product can keep my lips hydrated then it’s definitely one worthy of recommending to others. I love the way this formula feels on my lips and will definitely look them up again but this time I’m sticking to my pinks and corals.

The good:

The bad:

• not transfer resistant
• wipes and comes off easily
• not long-lasting

Overall, I really do love the Romand Juicy Lasting Tint! The only downside is that it is a product that is quite difficult to remove. BUT! As the name suggests, it really is a lasting lip tint!
