In the pleasingly binary universe of Star Wars, Bioware’s classic RPG KOTOR captured the allure of the Dark Side perfectly. Poison water supplies to kill innocents, escalate planetary conflicts for your own gain, and—most villainous of all—betray the Wookies! What have the teddies ever done to deserve that?

Manipulate and lie to your companions to get what you need out of them or betray their trust, align yourself with a nihilistic faction dedicated to annihilation (and help them carry it out), and feel free to kill anyone who opposes your actions.

Torment is a little more nuanced in its exploration of evil (and good) than other RPGs, but its less clear-cut approach to a morality system is precisely what makes it special.
