Align Your Love With The Cosmos

According to our go-to cosmos expert, Jess Carlson, Supermoons bring about healing and positive change. What better way to start your new life together than during this phenomenon?

Having your wedding during a Supermoon will not only fill you with heightened energy and a connection to positive change, it will also light the way for your big day as you will literally have the most light possible for your reception.

Supermoon Dates:

  • Wednesday, July 13, 2022
  • Friday, August 12, 2022
  • Monday, July 3, 2023
  • Tuesday, August 1, 2023
  • Thursday, August 31, 2023
  • Friday, September 29, 2023

  • Thursday, October 17, 2024
  • Friday, November 15, 2024

  • Thursday, October 17, 2024

Of course, the Supermoon isn’t the only way to have your love written in the stars!

Choosing your wedding date or season to align with your zodiac signs is another way to ensure your special day aligns with your selves in a deeper way.

Sagittarius tends to prefer warm weather weddings, or cold weather weddings that come along with warm weather honeymoons.

Libras gravitate toward the classic elegance of an early fall celebration.

A Taurus might enjoy a wedding with all of the trappings of peak spring.

Of course, the best day or the best season to get married is the one that most resonates with you as a couple.

The best months to get married tend to be October, September, June, May and August with October being the most popular month for several years running.

US Holidays

As a Las Vegas destination wedding location company, it makes sense for us to share US specific holiday dates.

Though it’s not recommended to have your wedding on an actual holiday (due to various reasons like family and friends being unavailable to attend,)  it’s a good idea for it to fall on the day before or the day after a big holiday.

This is because most of your guests will have extra days off work to attend.

Memorial Day Weekend is a favorite because your friends and family will have Monday off to recuperate.

Auspicious Wedding Dates

Auspicious dates observed in eastern ancient Chinese and Hindu traditions are dates when nothing is inauspicious, everything is in balance and these are some of the luckiest dates to join as one.

Auspicious wedding dates are different for every couple throughout every year, and finding your auspicious dates for 2022 through 2025 is simple.

In Chinese culture the number eight symbolizes success and prosperity. The ideal date for a wedding around this philosophy is August 8th, 2022-2025.

The double eight is said to be extremely lucky for a couple’s first day as life-long partners!

And for our math inspired lovers, we’ve listed a bunch of dates that equal the years 2022, 2023, and 2024 (aka ’22, ‘23, ‘24.)

  • Friday, 11-11-22 – 11+11 = 22
  • Wednesday, 11-2-22 – 11 x 2  = 22
  • Thursday, 5-18-23 – 5+18 = 23
  • Saturday, 6-17-23 – 6+17 = 23
  • Monday, 12-2-24 – 12 x 2 = 24
  • Thursday, 12-12-24 – 12+12= 24
  • Monday, 5-5-25 – 5 x 5 = 25
  • Wednesday, 10-15-25 – 10 + 15 = 25

Unlucky Dates

There are many historically unlucky dates to say “I do” that stem from different cultures so if you err on the superstitious side then you might want to steer clear of them:

The Ides of March

After the assassination of Julius Caesar on March 15 in 44 BC the Ides of March got a bad rap.

Then when Shakespeare wrote it into one of his famous plays with a soothsayer telling Julius Caesar, “Beware the Ides of March,” that feeling of dread only grew.

Since then, couples have notoriously steered clear of March 15th as their wedding day.

Leap Years

Greeks and Romans have always held the belief that starting any new beginning, whether it be marriage or child birth, on leap year is bad luck. We will see a Leap Year during the year 2024.

What is the next super moon?

When's the Next Super Full Moon? The next Super Full Moon is on August 1, 2023 at 14:31 UTC.

How often is there a super moon?

How often does a supermoon occur? A full Moon occurs once in each lunar cycle, which lasts 29.5 days. But not every full Moon is a supermoon - there are only usually three or four supermoons in a year. Between 2020 and 2025, there will be four each year.

How many super moons are there in 2022?

There will be four Supermoons in 2022. The first was on May 16 (which also happened to be a total eclipse of the Moon). The second was on June 14. The third will be the Full Buck Moon on July 13, 2002.

Why is it called a super moon?

The term supermoon was coined by American astrologer Richard Nolle in 1979 to describe both a new and a full moon occurring at or near (within 10 percent of) perigee. However, supermoon came to denote the more-restrictive meaning of a full moon at perigee.
