Foo Fighters are an alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington, featuring frontman Dave Grohl, guitarists Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel, and keyboard player Rami Jaffee. They are widely recognised for their hit singles My Hero, Learn to Fly, Best of You, Everlong, All My Life, The Pretender, and Monkey Wrench.

The band released their self-titled debut album in 1995, which was followed by The Colour and The Shape in 1997 and There Is Nothing Left to Lose in 1999.

It was their fourth LP, 2002's 'One by One, that saw them gain their first #1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart. Yet it wasnt until their seventh full-length release, 2011's Wasting Light, that the band got their first US #1. Their latest record, 'Medicine At Midnight', arrived in February 2021 the same year they released a disco-themed LP, 'Hail Satin', under the name Dee Gees for Record Store Day.

The band have previously topped the bills of some of the world's biggest events and festivals, including the Invictus Games Closing Concert in London, Glastonbury, and Reading and Leeds Festival.

Foo Fighters will host The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert, to celebrate the life of their late drummer. The event will take over Wembley Stadium, London on September 3, 2022, before heading to the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, California on September 27. This follows the announcement that they had cancelled all of their tour dates for the rest of the year due to the "staggering loss" of their drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away on March 25, 2022.
