Tổng quan lý thuyết về câu chẻ lớp 11

Câu chẻ (Cleft sentence) có cấu trúc chung: It + thành phần nhấn mạnh + that + mệnh đề. Mệnh đề “It” được sử dụng để nhấn mạnh một thành phần cụ thể của câu, mệnh đề “that” chứa thông tin đã biết hoặc không quan trọng.

Ví dụ:

• It is your support that keeps me going.
• I was in Italy that I tasted the best pizza ever.

Lưu ý:

“who” được sử dụng thay thế “that” khi nhấn mạnh vào chủ ngữ là người

• It was my sister who/ that won the competition.
• It was my father who/ that loved me the most.

“whom” và “ who” được sử dụng thay thế “that” khi nhấn mạnh vào tân ngữ là người

• It was my mom whom/ who/ that I bought flowers for on Women's day.
• It was her whom/ who/ that was paid a compliment by the teacher.

“how”, “why” và “which” KHÔNG thể thay thế “that”
